The Fathers Daughter

So for the first time since I started writing/blogging about 4 years ago I don’t know what to write today. I have no plan of what to write so I’ll let the Holy Spirit lead me.

I think why this is particularly different is because this is something so personal to me. I have come to see myself as The Fathers Daughter which is the basis and foundation of my relationship with God. It is just something we have that is so personal to me. Now God has told me to share this with the world. I have no agenda I’ll just flow with the Holy Spirit.

The Fathers daughter

Three years ago, God summed up our love relationship with the phrase “The Fathers Daughter”. It has become my identity and I knew He wanted me to start a ministry. In anticipation I set up the social media accounts but it wasn’t time. As the Bible says in Habakkuk Chapter 2 verses 2 and 3

“Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.”

God says its time. The time is now.

So why “The Fathers Daughter” basically God wants to have a Father daughter intimate, love relationship with His daughters and this platform has been set up to fulfil this purpose. I would blog as often as I am led by the Holy Spirit about ways to build your relationship with God the Father. A lot of us know of God but we don’t KNOW Him. The emphasis on the word “KNOW” is very crucial.

The word know does not mean just to have knowledge of something but as defined by the dictionary it means “have developed a relationship with (someone) through meeting and spending time with them; be familiar or friendly with. One of the synonyms for the word know is “to be intimate with”. Another word for intimacy is intercourse and also is the word konoinia.

In summary, God wants an intimate relationship with His daughters and this mentorship platform aims to achieve this. There is a lot planned but we would take it a day at a time and start off with this blog.

One of my favourite songs of all time is Good Good Father by Chris Tomlin. The lyrics sums up perfectly what the Father Daughter relationship is like

I’ve heard a thousand stories of what they think you’re like
But I’ve heard the tender whispers of love in the dead of night
And you tell me that you’re pleased
And that I’m never alone

You’re a good good father
It’s who you are, it’s who you are, it’s who you are
And I’m loved by you
It’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am

I’ve seen many searching for answers far and wide
But I know we’re all searching
For answers only you provide
‘Cause you know just what we need
Before we say a word

You’re a good good father
It’s who you are, it’s who you are, it’s who you are
And I’m loved by you
It’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am

Because you are perfect in all of your ways
You are perfect in all of your ways
You are perfect in all of your ways to us

You are…

Yay so this is the end of my first post. With no plan whatsoever, the Holy Spirit led me and I finished my first post. It is really all about Him and what He wants to say to us, yes even I will learn from this. Thank God I have finally stopped procrastinating.

Until next time remember You are The Fathers Daughter.
